GiftHub respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding your personal data. We comply with GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and LGPD (Brazil).

- Profile data: avatar, birthday (optional), address (optional, per privacy toggles)
- Payment identifiers: PIX keys, payment method labels (per your sharing preferences)
- Usage data: items created, wishlists, commitments, notifications
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, session cookies
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data under the following legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): (a) your consent, (b) performance of a contract (providing the service), and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Rectification β correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion β request account deletion (available via Settings > Delete Account)
- Data portability β receive your data in a machine-readable format

5. Cookies
GiftHub uses only essential session cookies. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Chat messages are retained for 30 days. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your personal data.
7. International Data Transfers
GiftHub data is hosted on servers in the United States. If you access the service from Brazil or the EU, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
GiftHub is not directed to children under 13. Users under 18 may browse but cannot participate in gift commitments. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
